What does your office look like?

Patients and families of Payne Pediatrics are often delighted by the sights in our office....both inside and out!  From the 20th Floor of the new Hermann Professional Plaza, our patients enjoy the views of the downtown Houston skyline straight ahead, beautiful green Hermann Park with the lake and the zoo to the right, and Rice University to the left. Palmer Episcopal Church is directly below us and across the street.

The children are inevitably mezmerized by the constant flow of traffic and Metro Trains up and down Fannin street just below. They have a bird's eye view!  Children and adults alike are fascinated by the new little red train winding in and around Hermann Park, loaded with children and their friends and families.

On the other side of our office, facing Hermann Hospital, children (and their famalies as well) love to watch the constant take-off and landings of the Hermann Life Flight Hospitals just across the street.

On the inside, the offices of Payne Pediatrics are spacious and open with various pastel colors accentuating each wall. The soft "hardwood" floors give a warm and comfortable feel to the office while adding to the beauty of the surroundings. But of course, the best view is the smiling face of Claire who meets everyone at the front office while children run to the playroom to explore the playscape, followed by the warm and familiar smiles of Kim, Linda, and all of our nurses our patients have come to know and love over the years. We think you will feel right at home, in our home, at Payne Pediatrics. Come on in....we're always happy and excited to see you!

  • A Plan for everyone!

We offer a variety of payment plans to fit our patient's needs.

  • How long is the wait?

Here at Payne Pediatrics, we are conscious that your time is as important as ours. The wait time varied from none to 15 minutes most of the time. Sometimes, a patient will come in with an emergency (such as an asthma attack, which takes more time than we had expected causing us to run behind. In order to stay on time,  we do not double-book patients (put two patients for the same doctor in the same time slot). We try to allow adequate amount of time for each patient's visit, so that you do not have to wait. You can help us tremendously as a patient if, when you make your appointment....you will tell the receptionist how long your child has been sick and the severity of the illness so we may allow you the time you need with the doctor as well as preventing others behind you from having to wait. If we all work together, we can keep wait times to a minimum. Also, if one doctor has an emergency and unexpectedly runs behind, we will keep you posted on any unexpected wait times and allow you the option to see one of the other physicians in our practice who is available if they desire...it is never required, only an option. We want to respect your time and your diginity in every way possible.

  • What about parking? Our building has a new, attached, spaciious parking garage for your convenience. Rates vary by the time spent in the garage. Parking for an average visit is usually $4-$6. Patients may valet park on the lower level for $10. Let us know if you have concerns about parking expenses and we may be able to help. We don't want parking to be an obstacle to your child receiving the best pediatric care available!
